Social Bookmarking Introduction part 1
Welcome back!
Social bookmarking is a service that allows internet users to store, organize and share their bookmarks in the online format.
When you find a website that you like, you add a backlink to
that website on your social bookmarking account. This allows other users to view that link and visit the site as well.
How would this benefit your from an internet marketing perspective ?
As an online marketer, our main goal is traffic.
There is benefit to us as: first we get some direct traffic from people clicking on our bookmark . This won’t be a huge amount but is very targeted.
The next benefit is an increased potential for fast search engine indexing. When we post our bookmark on a bookmarking site, it will be displayed on the front page. Now these pages are usually a very high PR, ranging from PR5 to PR7 or PR8.
With high ranking and therefore high authority, these sites get checked out regularly by Google.

Social bookmarking can be very time consuming and you had better be careful when you submit . It has to be done on a regular basis and if you overdo it, you could run the risk of being accused of spamming.
There are places where you can bookmark several accounts at once but be careful, a posting rate on a very regular basis could see accounts closed.
